  1. It's basically a scaled down A300, but it's still plenty large.  Max takeoff weights are in the 300,000 lb range, which easily qualifies as a "heavy" by the current FAA definition.  Depending on how the cabin is configured, it should seat +/- 250 pax.  The A310 is sometimes seen configured as a freighter instead of a passenger hauler and is used by FedEx and a few other freight haulers.

  4. Are they big? What a question. Try this 156ft in length, 54ft in height, wing span of 148ft and about  184,000lbs. Hmmm, they cant be that big. I might just get one and put it in my garage....
