  1. I have been flying since I was 5 and I have always like flying and never found it creepy.

Back in those days there weren't IPODs, portable DVD players, etc, so I had to rely on conversation and books.

I do recommend comfortable clothes and shoes (slip ons are best as they come off easy and it's quick to get through security).

If you have an IPOD and headphones, that will definitely help although some planes have TV or movies too.  There's always magazines in the seat backs, so bring a pen if you like crossword puzzles or mensa quizzes or suduko.

If it's a really long flight it's good to get up occasionally and just walk a little bit to get the blood flowing.  If you're afraid of heights maybe request an aisle seat (better leg room anyway), although the view from the windows can sometimes be great.

  2. laptops ipods and books

  3. just be calm and enjoy your flight and the stuff you get and also the service. Always happy to help :)

  4. Flying isn't that scary. Its actually one of the safest modes of transportation. I'd suggest bringing some chewing gum  and maybe a book or an ipod.

  5. no, they're not creepy.

  6. No, they're not creepy. It's like a large, slow, boring roller coaster.

Bring an empty bottle with you, then when you are through the security check, fill it up with water at a water fountain. The air inside planes is very dry, and you need to drink more to stay hydrated.

Definitely bring something to read. Flights, and layovers at airports, can be long and boring.

    Enjoy your first flight!

  8. I'm afraid of flying, but I do it all the time (both bymyself or with my parents) because my parents' families all live around the world. Just try doing some of these:

-Bring music, or atleast headphones. If you don't have an mp3 player (or even if you do), planes have different music stations to listen to, so just attach your earbuds to the arm rest radio, and relax!

-If possible, bring a movie compatible ipod, or portable dvd player (it passes the time in a fun way!). If you can't bring either of those, go online and see if your flight has a movie playing.

-Bring a good book, and a couple magazines incase you get bored of one or the other.

-Bring a nausea bracelet. It's this cool thing that resembles a sweatband, and it applies pressure to a certain vein to prevent air sickness! You never know if/when you'll become a bit quesy on a plane so that (or some kind of NON-DROWSY nausea meds. pick non-drowsy so you don't fall asleep on some stranger's shoulder!) is a great thing to have.

-Layer your clothes and dress comfy. The temperatures change drastically from sitting on the ground, to flying in the air. I suggest a lightweight t-shirt, underneath a super comfy sweatshirt. Sweatpants or jeans are also great, because you don't want to freeze in shorts!

-Bring a blanket and long socks. As I said before, it gets kind of nippy in the sky, and airline blankets go fast (usually only to first class). Plus, having cold toes on a plane is the worst! A neck pillow is also a great help, because it makes you feel more comfortable, and makes it really easy to sleep!

-Snacks are a must on long flights. They sell them on the plane, but they're usually small, expensive, and really gross. Just get a ziplock baggy and fill it with your dry comfort foods (chex mix, pringles, cookies, whatever else you want!).

-I don't know about you, but I'm super scared of heights. So if I'm seated by the window, I don't look out until about 5 minutes after take off, because the plane is tilted and it can be a little freaky.

-Listen to the anouncements. When I'm nervous about flying, I feel that listening to the flight attendent's and pilot's intercom announcements make me feel a little more informed and secure.

Good Luck! I hope I helped and don't worry, you'll be fine!

  9. Not at all! Taking off was really fun, though I think descent and landing was my favorite! The engines quiet down a bit and you get to see things pretty good from up high.

I thought I would never fly, but my first trip I was on 6 different planes round trip! Had a window seat on every flight. I enjoyed it all.Well, except for the waiting on the lay overs.

Bring gum, books and an ipod if you got it.

  10. Enjoy the view.  If you have never been in a plane it can be quite exhillerating to see the world from up above.  Try to get a window seat so that you can see it.

As for the long flight, all I can say is bring a book, magazine, mp3 player...whatever.

  11. depending on how long the flight is they usually will play a movie or 2. you will get lil snacks and meals also :)

i will never get use to flying, the more i fly the more i hate it. but thats me. and i fly a hella lot.

most people can fall asleep... i am no good at that lol. but i listen to my zune and flip through a magazine.

be sure to get up and walk around here and there to stretch out, again depending on how long this flight is. and if your on the pill this is a little more important. enjoy the view. ;)

    have fun!
