Are airplane take- offs at night more fun?

or just during the day when there is a lot of sun? I'm flying on Emirates on a 14 hour flight.

It depends because night take-offs are only fun when flying over cities, where you see lights and stuff like that. Like if you fly over a farm during the night you see absolutely nothing (trust me, I've had that experience and it was so boring!) Going over a city at night is so cool because the cabin is kind of dark instead of bright like daytime, plus you get really excited.

By the way, Emirates is an amazing airline. You're really lucky to be on it!! The 14 hours will just fly by! :]

depends where you are.  Leaving NYC or SFO is great day or night, when you fly right past the city.  

Now, once you are up there...if I fly at night, I don't get to watch as many movies!

I like takeoff at night because the city where i live is really beautiful at night. you could see all the light and little cars.

I like them both, I'd say its funner in the light, but more relaxing at night.

If u take off from a huge city like LA or even a moderate city, night takeoffs are fun. All them lights.....

if you leaving a very vibrant city then night would be cooler because you get to see all the lights on building and skyscrapers

I like daylight better because you can see things.

At night it's only really cool if you are in an area where there are a lot of lights - like near a downtown area with cool building lighting so it depends on where you're taking off from.

Both night and day take offs and flights are both fun...but it is really really cool to watch all the lights!  Flying over cities at night is so cool...the street lights and stuff almost look beautiful from the sky...as weird as that sounds!
