Are all 12 volt spotlights for a light bar created equal?

I'm adding a lightbar to my shadow and found some spotlights that are made for a Harley. My question is aside from the mounting would not any 12 volt spotlight work on any bike?

NO, some are brighter, some are dimmer, some are slightly different colors...

as far as wiring them up, yes they all work the same, unless they are HID

the white ones are ok,the black ones wont work

Different bulbs draw different amounts of power, so you have  to wire and fuse according to the amperage draw

Yes, 12V is 12V.  The lights on Harley light bars seem awfully bright to me and may draw more amps than your old ones.  

If you haven't already wired the lights to a relay  and run them straight off the battery you may want to do so.
