Question:

Are all Libras the same, or do their Moon, Mercury, Venus, & Mars signs make them different?

I am an "Air", Libra Sun, Aquarius Moon, Scorpio Mercury, Scorpio Venus, Aquarius Mars, and Capricorn Ascendant, and I am sick and dang tired of people labeling me as superficial, lazy, spineless, materialistic, super girlie, etc., just because I have a frickin Libra Sun Sign. My friends all know me as a very deep-thinking woman with no care for material possessions or nail polish and frills, fiercely independent, quietly ambitious and hard-working, and also very passionate in love and in emotion. Yes, I am indecisive and changeable, more tempest than rock, I do admit. But my soul can also easily reach the bottom of the ocean, and my love is only given after I possess my lover's heart (though I struggle with this, because I am extremely sexual). And girlie? Psh! I would much rather spend the day learning archery than at the mall, and I would much rather watch a war movie than a chick flick, as war movies inspire me to tears and chick flicks make me shake my head and roll my eyes. And SPINELESS?! Are you kidding me?! I am extremely opinionated (though I am diplomatic about how I project my beliefs), and I make it a point to NEVER conform. I hate conformity, and "laws" for that matter, with a flaming passion. I "nonconform" because I need to, because I like to be the rock the conforming current collides with. I do admit that I will back down from contention more often than not, but only because I can see the bigger picture, that bigger picture being that a fight is just not necessary. But I certainly know how to defend myself, and I can do it well and in a logical manner when I need to. Sometimes I feel my "element" should not be just "Air" but a combination of "Air" and "Water".

Based on the alternative signs I gave you in the paragraph above, what can you tell me about my "zodiac personality"? Am I like every other Libra or am I different based on my other signs?

Btw...I do realize what matters is how you know yourself, not how an online sight labels you. I was just a little fed up with all of those stereotypes! ;)

  1. One of the main things in any chart that makes us each different is where exactly your sun and moon are at birth, and how many planets you have in one particular sign.  For instance I am a Leo, but my moon was higher in the sky at the time of my birth than my sun sign, which for a Leo this usually doesn't matter, but my moon is in Scorpio, plus many of my other planets are in Scorpio.  Having your mercury in scorpio I'm sure you understand that scorpio is an extremely strong sign.  In my case it dilutes my Leo, and therefore I am NO typical Leo.  The problem most people have about Zodiac signs is that they just know enough to get them into trouble, and don't bother to do the research.  It's like saying everyone wearing a yellow shirt looks the same, no they don't.  Yes not only does every planet and what sign it was in at your birth, make you different, but also, where you were born, and what time.

  2. here is some brief interpretations for you

moon-Aquarius:In a manner which is independant and detached, widely friendly and detached:likeing for mental pursuits of unusual and scientific nature.

Mercury-scorpio- mentally intense, penetrative with depth of feeling

Venus-scorpio-Love tends to be more intense, more sexual, more secretive and passionate.

mars- Aquarius-indepentant and determined in persuit of goal that you set yourself

    Ascendant earth signs

The earth signs of Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn are noted for their practicality and security. When an earth sign is on the ascendant the outer manner is shy, serious and cautious. Taurus risers are the most sociable of the three and are often musical or artistic. Virgo risers look for mental stimulation in others, while Capricorn risers enjoy both work and social pursuits. People with these ascendants send out signals which are pleasant and tactful suggesting that they prefer to form part of a team - at least to begin with - than to push themselves immediately to the front.

  3. I feel your aggravation, being similar. Only I readily acknowledge that I am blunt to the point of rudeness in most situation, aggressive, territorial, and fairly dominant. Yes, I can be a good diplomat or counselor if needed, but only for so long before I get irritated with people. I hate shopping, I hate dressing up. I have worn makeup a total of 3 times in my life, and I'm now 25. And one of those times was for a play. While not exactly lazy, I do procrastinate if something doesn't catch my interest.... not because I'm a libra but because I have ADHD! Thus, I strive to work around that.

Being so exceptionally unlike my signs makes me wonder about the usefulness of astrology. Even when you get farther down. Aside from my sun sign I have 3 planets in libra, and 3 in sagittarius. My charts are crowded, everything is clustered up into the upper-right segment. Part of that may have to do with being born on the cusp of between libra and virgo, but I still don't buy it terribly much.

Maybe as a starting/launching point, but it certainly doesn't explain *me*.
