Are all bindings and hardware for bindings universal between different manufactues?

  1. For most modern bindings, the answer is yes.

    Even though all companies use a 2 x 2 square 4 bolt mounting pattern and Burton uses a 3 bolt triangle (3D) pattern, most newer bindings allow for both mounting paterns. Just look at the mounting disc to see if there is more than just the one pattern and you will know.

    Pretty much all of them will fit.

    heres what to watch out for.

    you cannot put a binding other than burton on a burton board unless you have a baseplate that will fit that binding with 3 holes in it, [burton has 3 holes on your board so it makes you more liekly to buy burton bidnings to fit on] you can put burton bindings on other boards typically will work fine, other than burton being g*y almost everything fits, so just keep that in mind, and theres lots of ways to work around it, and for most binding companies other than burton you can buy a baseplate to fit ..

    but burton sucks so avoid them at all cost..!
