  1. Yes, Mondays are dark days, and have been traditionally so for a very long time.  Since they do two shows on Sunday, Equity rules require a day off.

  2. Monday is typically a "DARK" day, especially given that Sunday may be both a Matinee, and evening performance situation.

Obviously different venues and companies have the right to alter any day of the week schedule, other than what is advertised, and that certainly relates to advance ticket sales.

It isn't exactly a corporate America situation.

    Just my 2 "scents"

  3. Typically yes, Monday is a dark day on broadway, BUT there are some shows that play.

Try taking a look on playbill.com or talkingbroadway.com to see the listings of what plays on Mondays. I know for a fact that RENT and now Spring Awakening both play on mondays. Good Luck!

  4. Most all shows are closed. :( Sorry! Enjoy your time in NYC!
