  1. No, there are countries that are not yet members like French Guiana, Taiwan also there are countries that joined in 2002 like Switzerland So it's not really a big thing

  2. Taiwan,

In 1971 the People's Republic of China (mainland China) replaced Taiwan (also known as the Republic of China) in the United Nations.

The independent papal state of 771 people (including the Pope) was created in 1929. They have not chosen to become part of the international organization.

  3. Most countries today are member states of the UN - i.e. there are 192 member states, and the only non-member states are the Vatican, Kosovo (only just created) and Taiwan.

When the UN was created in 1945, there were only 51 member states, but as new countries have been formed and recognised by the international community, UN membership has expanded.

So to answer your question - no, not all countries signed up to the UN initially. It has been a very gradual process.
