But it should be work out by both employers and employees, maybe it's about time for people to face the situation and work together to help resolve the problem!

Employers are already paying 100% of the employee's fuel costs, it's called wages, you're employer is also paying 100% of you food costs, you housing and clothing costs and odds are all of your healthcare costs.

That would be fair.

There should be a commuting stipend added to wages. We need such a law to help workers at the lower end of the pay scale to cope.

It's like this, whatever is going to cost the manufacturer or retailer is going to be passed onto the consumer.

It takes one day of work at $6.75 an hour to fill up lots of cars and another day of work to pay payroll taxes. So you must decide if 3 days of pay (if you're lucky enough to get 40 hours) is worth it to you. Sooner or later, somethings got to give. Public transportation may suddenly become more popular. You may decide to ride a bike to work or if your within a couple of miles, you could walk. You could move closer, but they created these suburbs, and sometimes it's not so easy to move. Something's got to give.
