  1. Don't touch the sodas etc in the room, they are very expensive........All you can eat, 24hrs a day.is free...Drinks are extra (liquor).......Nuf Said            OH yea, you don't have to pay their outrageous tips, just go to the purser's desk the first day and tell them you will do your own tipping, not to put it on your room tab........

  2. I guess every cruise is different.  Most cruises provide free food to their guests.  Norwegian infact does charge for some of their food in specialty restraunts the ship I was on had like 11 resteraunts and 7 of them where free so if you didn't wnat to pay you could just go to the free restraunts which is what i did.   However alcoholic drinks and pop are not free.  You can buy a unlimited soda sticker which is well worth it if you are going to drink a lot of soda

  3. All you food is part of your cruise price.  Some ships have private supper clubs that there is an extra charge for, but you don't have to eat there

  4. Anything with nutritional value is free.  Juices are free.  Soda is not free.  Neither are alcoholic drinks.

  5. On disney and carnival they are, but on Royal Caribbean Freedom ship it isn't!!!

  6. You can eat every meal and not have to pay on the cruise, but they also have specialty restaurants which you will have to pay and a coffee shop.  All the food is delicious.

  7. Almost everything on the cruise is free except for the restauraunts that they have on ships if you decide to go to one at night instead of the buffet. Also the alchohol is not free. Hope this helps and have fun on your trip!

  8. Yes, the food is included into your package deal that you purchased prior to the cruise. Although, you are hit with Gratuity fees which are 10-15% for your waiter. Of course Alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, bottled water are all extras. Tea, coffee I think are included also. Depending on what ship I believe you take. Will let you know whats free and included.

  9. no, but we charge for grammar lessons.

  10. well My Son and Daughter in law went on a cruise for there honey moon and the food is included in the vacation BUT you always have to leave a tip at the table it is required.

  11. pretty much yes, but you only get free water or juice, you have to pay for sodas.

  12. The price of a cruise includes all meals and snacks all day and night.  There are places on ship where you can go to breakfast, lunch and dinner and midnight buffets and all of the food is free.  There is generally a room service menu that you can order from 24/7 and that food is free (you should tip the delivery person a couple dollars). There are places where you can get something to eat 24/7. But that does not include all drinks.  The ships provide coffee, tea, milk, juices, and drinks like lemonade and punch for free.  BUT, you must pay for soft drinks (usually about $1.50) and all alcoholic beverages including beer and wine.

Every ship has what they call specialty restaurants, like a French, Tex-Mex, Sushi, or steak house where there is a charge.  The charge can be from $10 to $20 per person each time you eat.  They call it a gratuity or service charge.  Norwegian cruise line is different because it has Freestyle Cruising  which means that you do not have to specify a dining option when you book your cruise and thus don't have a table and waiter assigned to you. "FREESTYLE" means you can go to dinner in the main dining room, or any other alternative restaurant, any time of the evening after 6:00 PM..  But you will have to reserve a time in the alternate restaurants.  It also means that you don't have to "dress up" for dinner, but just go "sports casual".  But it also means that you may be standing in line awaiting a table on some days (like we had to do a couple times); not what you want on a cruise.  Since you go when you want, you rarely get the same waiter and so never really get to know your waiter and he/she never learns what you prefer as is done on “traditional” cruise lines.  Their optional dining restaurants. However, these dining options can cost $10 to $20 a person for dinner each night.  This is not what you want after paying for a cruise which is supposed to be all inclusive.

  13. For the most part yes, but some cruises have specialty restaurants that you have to pay extra for, some also charge you to get stuff from the ice cream parlor or coffee bar.

  14. Depends on the cruise line. Norweigen likes to charge for extras, Carnival does not. Carnival also has a 24 hour pizza bar, Yummmmmm!!!!
