  1. no. i'm a pagan goth. and for that matter i don't even wear a lot of black or any of the other stereotypical behavior. it's a big subculture.

  2. No, not all Gothic people are Atheists. Goth is more like a type of fashion statement than a specific type of "person." That would be like asking if all people who wear Abercrombie and Fitch are stuck up rich people. It's basically the same comparison.

Goth is the typical dark clothing, hair, make-up and has been spread into the music world. I myself particularly like a lot of things are considered goth or emo, but I am neither.

I wear black everyday because I like to wear black pants everyday, not because I'm goth or an Atheist. My brother is what you would stereotype as goth/emo/rocker, but he very much believes in God, etc.

It's a stereotype that somebody created one day which has made for many misconceptions about people. However, a lot of people make misconceptions about others by the way they dress.

So, again...no. Not all people who are Goth are Atheists. :)

  3. Atheists? No. I know because I am atheist and I am normal.

    Sorry for the let down.

  4. There is such thing as a Christian goth.  I've met a few.  They can be from any conceivable religion, just like anyone else.

  5. I think the general stereotype of people who dress and look gothic are assumed atheists, but the goth subculture is mainly associated in in music, aesthetics, and fashion, whether or not all individuals who share those tastes are in fact members of the goth subculture. There is no one common religious tie that binds together the goth movement, but spiritual, supernatural, and religious imagery has frequently played an important part in gothic fashion, song lyrics, and visual art. In particular, aesthetic elements from Catholicism play a major role in goth culture. Reasons for donning such imagery vary between individuals, and range from expression of religious affiliation, satire, or simply decorative effect

  6. Generally, 'goths' will believe in whatever ideas are the most stupid and farfetched (i.e. wicca, new age) regardless of their level of truth (atheism being the truest) and based on whatever conforms best to their fashion.  All this is done in order to make up for their lack of personality and extreme lameness which causes them to turn into a 'goth' in the first place.

  7. Not generally but yes some will say they are.  Also a lot are wiccan, pagan, jewish, buddhist, taoist and any other religion you can think of.  Most catholics and baptists are lapsed-and- in-recovery-thank-you-very-much though.

And yes there are quite a few that are aetheists.  For some reason they object to a hypocritical religion (do as I say, not as I do) that practices symbolic cannibalism while worshipping a zombie.  Good times.

  8. no, being Gothic is just an expiration of ones beleafs and that includes being a christain

  9. No, some are christian, some are pagan, some are buddhists, ect. Goth is more of a style/culture choice, it has nothing to do with religion (usually).
