No some are very selfless to the point of being a saint.Many are Ignorant meaning they lack knowledge.Many people are their own person within a society.

I think no, but it depends on your faith in humanity .

No but the ones who are bully the ones who arent,  so the ones who arent are mostly depressed and downtrodden.

It does seem very difficult to steer a reasonable life path through the ignorant tribal self centredness .

I find that even very simple social relations, like buying a newspaper are a lottery - your prize being either neutrality or  getting thwacked. I rate the odds of being hurt at 2 to 1.
