I've dealt with B&N managers at multiple stores and I've found all of them rude and impossible to talk to.

  1. Hehe, I doubt it, but I do have to wonder about the cashiers at times.  I politely told cashiers (two different ones on seperate occasions) that I really don't want to join their "club" or whatever it is they have people sign up for.  The first time I was told that it would have been smarter of me to join.  (Thanks, B&N, for implying that I am stupid)   The second time, the cashier took my receipt, highlighted the amount I would have saved, then haughtily told me that she could have saved me that much money if I would have signed up.

I found it hard not to roll my eyes at the misplaced snobbery.

  2. i just quit B&N recently and theyre all ***** except two ive ever met... so yes.

  3. Yes, because their the equivelant of a 'football player' forced to be coach instead.  They wish they were either 'professional writers', 'critics' and/or 'publishers'.  Either one are usually considered a little rude and pompous.  That's how the book publishing circles act.  So since their 'settling' to be a manager selling other people's books, they want to think they're just as important as the writers, publishers and etc....   And in a way they are MORE important because they are the first to 'recommend' what their customers read.  It's like the 'fool' pretending he's really a 'king' theory...  :)

  4. i don't know mabye i say so
