Are all of the cards at every eye doctor the same? If so can you give me a website that has the test cards?

I'm going to the eye doctor today, and I was wondering, are all the eye test charts at every doctor's office the same? If they are, can you guys give me a link or write out what they are or something so i can kinda "study" them? Thanks

  1. I'm not whining, but I'm just wondering... why bother going to the eye doctor at all?  Will it take you any less time to whip through an eye test if you have memorized the answers than it would to just take the test?  I don't see it.  (no pun intended)

  2. No, but most of them are. Google "Snellen chart." You aren't doing yourself any favors, though, studying for this sort of test.

  3. I love to give answers to what is specifically asked :)

There are different versions of tests out there because they try to deter cheating.

You could always have someone call the eye Dr and ask if they have a sample test they could have (for working on a research project, etc).

    Good luck!

  4. Um if your eyes are that good you have nothing to worry about. But if you were to study and forget some you would be worse off than having to "deal" with it all.But believe me it wont kill you going to the eye doctor.Try having a tear in your eye and having an antibiotic put in it and not being able to let your eyes (naturally)water too much(even though it burns like c**p)because you would have to do it again, hows that for inconvenient. So next time try not to get to pissy if you are the one asking for advice because people will "get" pissy right back.

  5. lol ur right ppl do whine a lot. the charts rarely have the same order of letters but if you notice they only uses the same six or so. idk search on google images for some and see if you can spot patterns. gl

  6. You shouldn't cheat. If you need glasses or contacts, you should get them, instead of straining all the time and making them worse.

  7. Ophthalmologist does "refractory testing or refraction" He will keep you one meter  away with your pupils fully dilated. He tilts a mirror plane or concave and watches a red shadow move in your pupil while changing from a set of glasses. That reveals whether you need glasses or not even if you can read all the letters of the chart. Don`t confuse between an ophthalmologist and an optometrist.

Good thing you have 20/20 vision. But why are you going to Eye doctor?
