  1. different plants have different chemical makeups. they can have a different number of electrons, protons, or neutrons. also, the cloryphyll (idk if i spelt tht rite...) will have a different chemical make up through out the year because of temperture changes and other seasonal changes....

  4. One plant can have many different kinds of cells:  these include collenchyma, schlerenchyma, companion cells, and parenchyma cells.   There are also storage cells and plant-defense cells which differ depending on the plant.

Those are the main types of cells within a plant.

Also, from one plant to another, the cells may have different specialties and function and thus be different from plant species to plant species.  (Like the storage or defense cell.)

  5. How they come to differentiate from their parent cell type involves the selective expression of genes. Different cell types have a different group of genes expressing proteins.

Why they are not the same is to specialize in a function. Cells to collect water from the soil need different structures than cells that move water through the plant.

Root cells express the genes that produce the fragile water collecting hair-like projections.

Water conducting tissues contain two types of cells that retain function after cell death. These form the basis of the xylem and phloem.
