  1. Yes, and all in the name of God.

  2. I would need proof that every Republicans lie.Talk is cheap with out a back up called proof.

  3. Give it up, the "Great One" was tore apart last night. Deal with it!

  4. C'mon it's called politics, and hit happens on both sides equally.

  5. Yes they are and you would be a fool to believe that the Democrats are not. Politics is a hodgepodge of lies and half truths committed to gain power.

  6. Not all but those who spoke at their convention yesterday are beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Yesterday was clearly meant to appeal to the talk radio crowd as was evident from the talking points and the hidden references to Obama's "scandals" in the speech of Giuliani for example. They never let the truth get in the way of their ideology of intolerance, nationalism and social darwinism

The Palin speech has got to be the the biggest fraud in history since another Republican governor stood before the American people and assured them he was a uniter, not a divider, that he was gonna change to tone of Washington into one of civility and respect and most of all that a generation shaped by Vietnam must remember the lessons of Vietnam: When America uses force in the world, the cause must be just, the goal must be clear and the victory must be overwhelming.

We all know how that turned out. Conservatives talk allot about empty rhetoric not being enough yet that's all they have offered the good American people for over a decade to sell their agenda of personal enrichment, inept government and reckless foreign policy. Policies that bankrupted the US and sacrificed more than 4000 young Americans for lies, oil and the profits of Haliburton and other war profiteers

  7. No. But they love lies dearly..

  8. read the article, a pretty good example of media bias...there is no counter article done by the same AP political writer for the DNC speeches.... All I could find was a snipet story that yahoo never placed in it lead.

The charges that Democratic National Convention speakers fired at Republican John McCain yesterday weren't necessarily half-truths. But in some instances, they weren't the whole story, either.

    Some examples:

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton: “John McCain wants to privatize Social Security.”

The facts: The plans McCain has supported over the years would privatize part of Social Security by letting workers invest some of their payroll taxes into private retirement accounts. In the past, McCain has proposed that up to 20 percent of payroll taxes be funneled into private retirement accounts for younger workers.

Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell: “And guess who voted with President Bush 90 percent of the time? Sen. John McCain.”

The facts: McCain voted with Bush 90 percent of the time from January 20, 2001, to when Congress left Washington on its annual August recess, according to a study by Congressional Quarterly. But McCain wasn't always a staunch Bush backer. In 2005, his support for Bush's position on legislation reached a low of 77 percent; last year, when he launched his latest bid for the GOP presidential nomination, McCain voted with Bush 95 percent of the time.

Iowa Gov. Chet Culver: “Now the oil companies are placing their bets on John McCain, bankrolling his campaign.”

The facts: McCain has received more than $1.5 million in contributions from oil and gas industry employees and their spouses, according to the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics. Obama has received about $423,000. But the center's analysis found that Obama has received more than McCain from employees of the oil industry's major companies. Employees (and their spouses) of Exxon, Chevron and BP had given more than $93,000 to Obama as of the end of June; McCain had received $75,000, according to the study.

  9. Not all of them, though you have to go back several years to find the honest ones it seems...

I am from a long line of Republicans, since Lincoln.

We hate to see what has become of the GOP.

  10. Republicans do not see this as lying. To them, words are weapons whose effectiveness is measured in whether they work, not how accurate or truthful they are.

The amazing lie about her getting more votes than Biden has been spelled out over and over again, and yet you still see it rolling off the lips of GOP paid talking heads on tv while the moderators just sit there, blinking like goldfish and not raising an objection.

The lies we see here are just the beginning. Wait til yu see the October surprise. Some major military event is going to be staged that will make the election a done deal.

America is being hoodwinked my the republicans as usual.

I'm saddened that it's so easy to lie to my countrymen. They simply won't get their butts out of their lazy passive asses and learn the facts.

  11. Of course they are... they are human... that means that all democrats are liars too... but the "lies" the article lists are laughable  and it was clearly written by a left-wing pawn.
