Are all seatbelts connected to the car frame?

I'm trying to ground an amp and the seat belt bolt seems like a good solution since it obviously has to be connected to a strong metal structure. (Like maybe the frame of a car?)

  1. your seat belts are not directly bolted to the frame.... but all cabs are grounded to the frames by way of ground straps so....... electrically speaking yep......Your Grounded.......Daryl

  2. yes they are dont do a thing to a seat belt  you mite do sum harm if you if you wont to ground do it on the sub frame or go to      the the battery to ground

  3. Usually not, instead they go to a reinforced area of the floor panels, in fact I have never yet encountered a vehicle where the seat belts were attratched directly to the frame and that's a lot of cars and trucks.

The body will be grounded to the frame, sometimes this ground is corroded but it's probably good to go, if you take out a seat belt bolt to put on a ground wire, make sure you tighten the seat belt bolt back as tight as it was before.
