  1. That's very untrue. Many serial killers are well-known in their community as good people, are charismatic, and charming. Loner's get a bad rep, because whenever a school shooting happens, someone is killed, or a serial killer is on the lose, they're all described as a "loner", when it's just not true nearly as often as it's reported.

  2. They are not loners, they are sick in the head more like.

  3. serial killers can be anything

they can be girl scout leaders or book club presidents

they can have diner parties every week

the only thing that makes them serial killers is the fact that they continously kill.

they don't have to be ugly or lonely or anything.

  4. there r serial killers that the world will never know about

they are clever thinkers and will do anything to prey.

some are loners and some are social

there is no pattern to something like that

  5. Not always, or even often.  John Wayne  Gacy (aka pogo the clown) was an upstanding pillar of the community, loving wife  and children, hard working, had his picture take with the first lady.  He was an all round good guy.

Except he liked to kidnap young men rape them, strangle them at the same time, all while dressed as a clown.

  6. Ian Brady and Myra Hindley

    Fred and Rose West

  7. I'm a homicidal maniac, they look just like everyone else.

  8. The truth is it's just lazy journalism.

  9. The majority have been. After they have been arrested, neighbours nearly always describe him as "a quiet man who kept to himself." But I'm sure there have been cases where a killer has mingled with society and seemed as normal as the next person.

  10. Loner is a misinterpreted word made up by the media. Introverts are loners, extroverts aren't and then you get the in-betweens who socialise but also like to take a step back.

A loner is an introvert, somebody who likes their own space. The media twist the word to make them sound darker and more dangerous:

'The loner serial killer used to go camping alone at night'

An example of how it can make something sound more sinister.

I am an in-between, I can spend weeks alone and not mind or weeks with others and not mind. Doesn't make me a serial killer. In fact some serial killers are people in the community.

Also think about it, to find out information about people and to carry out a calculated crime you must know the community well to be able to manipulate them.

I knew a woman who was extremely popular. Everybody really thought that she was great. Then it was revealed that she was a manipulative false person who sold drugs. See how you don't really know any body. Serial killers are from all walks of lives.

  11. fallacy , press producing the archetype of a morbid single male who keeps himself to himself , jack the ripper - married , shipman - married i am sure the list is endless of married serial killers and sociopaths who are gregarious .
