  1. Get this the right way round first. Shareholders do not claim dividends, companies declare dividends payable to (classes of) shareholders.

    The company make have various classes of Ordinary Shares; A, B, non-participating etc. If a dividend is declared, it must be equally declared to all shareholders holding that class of share. i.e. a company may declare a dividend payable to it's B Class Ordinary shareholders only.

    Certain shares may be "Non-Participating" and thus will never have a dividend declared on them. Thus the effective answer to your question is "No".
