Are all the neural cell bodies in the brain?

Are the sensory neurons that for example feel pain on the skin the extended axons of the neurons in the brain or are the neural cell bodies everywhere in the body? Also, are there neural cell bodies in the spinal cord or are they again extensions of the axons of the brain neurons?

  1. Peripheral neurons have their cell bodies at the spinal cord. These neurons make connections with the neurons in the spinal cord via synapses, and the neurons in the spinal cord makes connections with the neurons in the brain via synapses.

  2. Neurons are found both in the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) and peripheral nervous system.
