Are all the stores in Manhatten closed today?

i'm planning to go today and since it's easter i don't know

Many stores will be open because holidays attract visitors to the city.  You're also assuming that the entire city shuts down and not everyone celebrates Easter.  But of course you will find a combination of some open; some closed stores.

Probably, but it really depends on the beliefs of independent stores, because chain stores are most likely closed.
