Are all tongue rings stainless steel?

I have a very allergic reaction to silver. I bought a cheap tongue ring at a local store. All of the tongue rings that I have seen have been stainless steel but I just want to make sure my tongue isn't going to swell like a balloon because it's silver.

you could buy a plastic one but it bends in your mouth. Most are stainless steel because it might rust

No they are not all stainless steal. They make cheap plastic ones too which I don like bc you can literally bend them inside your mouth.  You can order them online I think even in bulk from overstock.com

most likely cux if they are not they will rust

i'm pretty sure they all are b/c then they don't rust. but I have seen plastic ones too but thats all.

it could be silver but it should say on the package. I have the same situation and to stay safe i only wear plastic barbells, or gold
