Are all you AB supporters gutted?

I posted a quetion last week saying I thought the Wallabies were gonna win and most people disagreed. Most people were wrong. Do you still think you can beat the Boks at home? What would you change in the team? Obviously pull that Lawaki (sp) that knocked on 100 balls off the field.

  1. Win some... learn to lose some (and learn from the mistakes).

Had the penalty try been awarded there would have been a change in the momentum of the game... I believe that the AB's could have won.

The players (most of them anyway) played brilliant individual game... they need to play smart/ better as a team.

Some players need to really step up!

There has always been depth in NZ with good rugby players. The grass roots need to be evaluated and nurtured along the way. The next WC is just around the corner!

  2. I forcast this also, some time ago.I claimed the abs would need to rebuild after all the players leaving.I came in for quite a bit of abuse, with some saying ,we have plenty of depth and that the abs are not rebuilding.Well, you cant beat experience in pressure situations.I felt through a lot of that game,we were about to break lose and walk all over them!! I dont know if anyone else felt like that.I think we kicked the ball away too much and refused to kick it out.I think this is a waste of time and stops us from  getting fluidity in our game, the forwards are our strength and we should keep the ball in hand a lot more and run straight and hard.Their forwards are no match for ours.Get front foot ball and then spread the ball.I thought the australian players were good at tackling and then getting the ball off us,either on the floor or up right at the breakdown. We didnt have enough players protecting the ball and giving us clean quick ball.We need to build the phases to create the holes, didnt see that last night.

The auzy put us under pressure and the abs lost the plot.

I also thought, that henry disturbed the team by making lots of subs.Taking of nonu was silly. He should have stayed on and conrad sent out to be next to him.I thought we were looking dangerous at that time.

I am a driving instructor and sometimes when my students are under pressure in their test, they lose the plot too.

The second time, they dont.We look rushed and lacked composure and lo o arky had a shocker but he is normally very good.Just one of those days i think.

I am confident the abs can turn it around at eden park and by a big margin too!! The abs lost that game by fumbling under pressure. Its like, a virus spreads through the team.Have seen it before when lomu was around. If the abs dont get off to a good start, then they can turn to custard. It happened before in the world cup with mortlocks intercept remember?

Good for the australians though but they didnt impress me that much. They looked more composed than us however. We need to go back to basics and play traditional all black rugby, built from the front.

  3. Disappointed but not gutted. The AB's are rebuilding after most our world class players have left for Europe. Not too many changes to be made because we don't have much else to choose from at the moment. This team will build on the experiences andonly get better with time.... probably not in time to beat the Boks in SA though but you never know....

  4. good on the Ozzie's should of got rid of Henry and co after the world cup it was the worst display I have seen of any all black side except for some individual performances , how do you keep a coach after losing in the quarters in the WC . I tell you how tews and the other bigwigs of the NZRU would have had to sack themselves if they got rid of Henry and co also deans has only been in the job short term how long has Henry been in the job , we have been PRed by the NZRU and we fell for it

  5. i dunno, but anyway your kind of hot for a white chick...can i have your cell name?

  6. Wouldnt say gutted so much, more pissed off than anything, the worst i'v seen the All Blacks play for quite some time, changes definatly need to be made (drop lauaki from the team altogether). There were some positives from the game e.g both halfbacks were strong until they got injured. It is possible to beat the boks in SA, not if they play the way they did against the Aussies though. Large improvement needed in ball handling and defence if NZ are to have any chance in the rest of the tri nations.

  7. I'm disappointed but there's too many other things happening for me to really give a f*** like the rising petrol prices that makes me gutted and the rising food prices that really makes me gutted.

It's kinda refreshing to be honest because I think Nz fans were getting so use to winning that we expected the AB's to win a certain way whereas other teams would just be happy with a win.

  8. It is little surprise that there has not been a flood of answers to your entitled question. Particularly after the unsportsmanlike arrogance a fortnight or so ago after the ABs 'destroyed' the Boks. We were 'on top of the world' and again, the 'rightful World Champions'.

Disappointment is a natural reaction to the hopes of a team which we support being dashed. But, after two consecutive losses our aura of invincibility, if only in our minds, is being challenged. And our collective fragile psyche is not sure how to deal with it. After all, as 'world campions since 1987', is it not our entitlement to win irrespective of on whose soil we play? No doubt, we will look to the Ref, Henry, Lauaki and the Ballboy to find some meaning for our loss. And when we do, we will feel vindicated and ease our dissapointment - for now.

No doubt, changes need to be made, particularly if we are to prevail on foreign soil. The mark of great teams is their ability to win high pressure games away - irrespective of refereeing descisions or the circumstances we find ourselves in.

But, perhaps, the biggest change we need to make - is in our mindset?

  9. No not at all.  Win some lose some. Life goes on.

  10. hey its about time aussie showed some balls ,it took a kiwi to show them. Its only the first against and the tri-nations is only halfway through...go the allblacks!!!!!p.s im pharken fuming, gutted, really really really pissed off but we will be back!!!
