I've never heard such a rumor, though I can understand why it would have been started.

Amish tend to dress similar to Jews - men wear hats, women dress in long skirts and cover their hair.

To echo all the previous answers, no, the Amish are not Jewish. They are devout Christians. The Amish religion falls into the category of Anabaptist, meaning they are not baptized untill they are young adults.
