Every nation is made of individuals with their own, unique perception of society and its twists...To claim the nation is cynical or stoic or whatever is a generalisation, which can't be proved...When you mention the anger and dissatisfaction with social conditions, anxiety that pervades every pore of the nation, their cause is not necessarily in lousy policy, it also greatly depends on individuals and their outlook, their own capability of organizing their life in a maner to satisfy their needs...
