  1. I don't think domesticated animals should be set free. They probably would not know how to survive in nature because we have hand fed them through life.

And yes, I believe animals are just as worthy as man. Lots of people say that they are beneath us because we are more "intelligent" yet that still does not seperate us from nature and that certainly does not make us more superior to them.

  2. all animals deserve life. every life means something

domesticated animals would die if set free

  3. No, if you're looking for a religious reason, God made animals to feed mankind. God made us is His own image, He didnt make cattle, sheep or fish in His image.

If you're looking for a natural reason. No again. Yes all animals have feelings and can communicate in their own way, but they are still food for mankind. If you "release" a domesticated cow into the wild, it'll be killed by other animals. The weaker animals are food for the stronger, smarter ones. It's the law of nature. That's why the weaker or sicker animals are picked off in nature. When someone hunts, it's most ethical to shoot the older animals that have matured past prime so to insure the younger stronger animals can carry on the species.

All animals should be respected for the food, clothing  and other things they offer us. They are worthy, just on a different level.

  4. You have two questions here.

We can't set domesticated animals free since we were the ones who domesticated them.  They are our responsibility now and diserve to be treated humanly.

The worthiness question. I'd say, in God's eyes they are more worthy then mankind. They have never fallen into sin and they don't trash the planet God gave them to live on. God did not give mankind the right to eat animals, until after the flood, because all vegetation had been wiped out at that time. I'm sure he doesn't agree with the way the meat industory operates today. :-(

  5. If you set a domesticated animal  free,  it will probably die.

  6. they have diffrent bodies due to Karma, but the souls are pretty much the same-maybe not as evolved as some, but that could be said of some humans too. *

setting domestic amimals loose is just plain cruel in my personal opinion.

in some countries there are people who treat all animals as equal to themselves-ancient sanskrit even has a word for it - "Ahimsa" *

  7. Definitely. All living creatures with brains should be treated with respect and care. Animals, just like humans, deserve to feel our love. I think some animals are more intelligent than other people. Animals can understand and they feel pain too. I believe the only edge of humans against animals is that we have "rationality". Humans are able to discern about what's right and what's not. And it's up to us whether to take care of these cute creatures.

  8. They deserve basic rights and respect such as shelter, food, attention, exercise etc.  They deserve to live and not be unnecessarily slaughtered for our gain.

Humans are animals, so yes animals are just as worthy :-)  Really, we are no more special, unique or gifted than any other species.  Each species (and individual) is a remarkable example of evolution and is beautiful in and of itself.  It's amazing to consider how all this diversity comes about by natural selection.  I still marvel at such an elegant mechanism.

We can't set domesticated animals free, they would not survive.  It would be the same as lining them up and slaughtering them.  The best we can do is look after domesticated animals in the best way we can.  I rescue my pets and save them from death at shelters, on the street, or as snake food.  I don't support breeding or selling.  I help clean up the mess left by irresponsible humans who can't be bothered to correctly care for an animal they have taken in to their family.

  9. plants also have the right to live...a potato does not need to be eaten to spread its seed but you take its life anyway...just because it cant feel pain you think its ok to take its life?

  10. They have every right just like you and i. In fact most animals are more intelligent than humans. Humans have mistakenly thought for thousands of years that their intelligence gives them the pre-eminence over animals, they are wrong.

We are all living creatures on this planet.

Sit and watch just a cat or dog at night time when he falls asleep and starts to dream just like you or i. His eye's start going into REM just like a humans do.

They have feelings and thoughts just like humans.

  11. If you let them free think of what the cold hearted people would do to them? They deserve to be given a good home, a place where they can run, eat healthy, and drink when they are thirsty. Basically they should be treated like your best friend (would you starve your best friend, or treat them terrible? If not then don't do it to animals) (and it's not just domesticated animals, it's all animals.)

~They are equal, the should be anyways~

  12. just because most people eat animals, doesn't mean it's right. animals have the right to live and to breathe and just about everything we do. if an animal is already domesticated, it should not be set free. think about your pet dog or cat. if you let them into the wild they might be able to live for a little while but eventually, they would probably get hurt or eaten and die. animals are just as worthy as man maybe even more because they can't express their emotions or feelings. they are just as good as people.

  13. yes, they definitely are, but WE domesticated animals so for that fact u know if we set them free they will most likely die. They didnt ask to be domesticated, so its not their fault. Animals are just as important as humans, I dont see why they wouldnt be they have thoughts, emotions, and feelings. They have babies and everything just like humans, and some are actually smarter than humans(but that doesnt really matter, thats like saying a mentally challenged person should die). And humans are also animals there is no reason we should be treated better, animals are not ours to kill, eat, wear, nor use for our entertainment. also if we were meant to wear fur we'd be born with it. So yes, yes they are.

  14. Man was given dominace over all living things. No they are not as worthy, but they still have great value. They should still be treated with respect.

  15. Are animals just as worthy as man??

That is not for me(or any "man") to say.

If there are consequesnces to our actions(as most people SEEM to think:levels of heavan and h**l), then people are in for alot of punishment.

If God put us here to learn to be godly, we have a lot of reincarnation to go through.
