Question:

Are answers and questions going to require a legal caveat?

I had a question removed because of some sort of misunderstood perception or whatever and I'm miffed. There wasn't anything offensive or crude in it. So it boils down to: if I simply don't like your question, I can have it removed?

People, can we stop flagging questions and answers that don't actually include offensive material? Let's rise above pettiness.

  1. I won an appeal with YA the other day, and I'm still smiling. When you write your appeal, be specific, and make your case with style and clarity. It can be done.

  2. Welcome to Yahoo Answers, where every question AND answer is a violation of the Community Guidelines.

  3. I've had questions and answers removed for no reason other than they offended some yahoo or another, and there was nothing in the q or a to signify any intent to do so.

The latest "fix" with Y!A has the appeals process a complete waste of time.  Someone tell me if they've won an appeal in the past month.

Mine are deleted for "not a question or answer."  Hilarious.

I cut and paste the q or a they've deleted (from the violation notice) and in detail explain why it should not have been a violation.  It used to work.
