Are ants and flies carnivores or herbivores?

  1. there are three categories -- herbivores,carnivores and omnivores.

    omnivores devour everything herbi as well as carni

    ants and flies fall in this category


  2. It all depends on the types of ants you are talking about.

    Some ants like the leaf cutter ants are gardeners and live on fungi. Other like the army ants are 'superhunters' that eat anything in their paths.

    I believe however that most ants and flies are omnivorous. Ants will eat anything that comes into their way (or cart them back to the nest).

  3. There are about 10,000 species of ants. Some are herbivores such as leaf-cutter ants, and some are carnivores such as driver ants of Africa. Flies are more omnivores in my opinion.

  4. there are many types   of both ,but  at the end of the day both are probably omnivores ,like    us

    there are leaf cutting ants but they use this for their farms ,and there are ants that kill for meat ,

    flies disolve both vegetable matter and meat to help in the decomposition and to lay their eggs
