  1. It is impossible to answer your question accurately without doing ancestry DNA testing on everyone and see what the results are.  Any other response is either an educated guess, speculation, or personal opinion.

  2. It is of course impossible to tell, but also HIGHLY unlikely that there is one Black American who has retained their pure African ancestry.

Even those in Africa mix with Middle Eastern and even European ethnicities. It is hard to even know what "pure African" is at this point. But I can speculate, based off the wide array for Black American's skin tones, facial features, etc., that there aren't any "pure African Americans" living in America

  3. No, a large portion, if not most  of them, have some European ancestry.  Some also have native American ancestry.

During the days of slavery, there were laws against what was called miscegnation. However, since a slave was considered property, a man could do with his property what he pleased.  If he had children by a free black woman or with someone else's slave he would have been in violation of the law.

Not very pretty but that was the way it was.

  4. It's highly doubtful

  5. Sure. It depends to a degree on when they came to America, but any Blacks who came to that country after slavery was repealed could have retained their pure African heritage. Certainly any who came in the last 50 years could have (and likely did) retain their African heritage.

  6. To answer this question, I refer you to the book:

"Mapping Human History: Discovering the Past Through Our Genes" by Steve Olson.

On page 55, he states that: "On average, one-fifth to one-quarter of their DNA comes from Europeans."  On p. 47, he makes the bold statement that everyone alive on earth today is a descendant of Nefertiti, Confucius and Julius Caesar.

In other words, there is no such thing a a "pure race" any where on earth; even the bushmen of the Kalahari Desert are of mixed DNA.

  7. its possible for african americans to have native american and european ancestry because of there was a lot of the natives intermixed with africans and europeans
