I have worked at 4 daycares and only one was open on the 4th of July and it was only a half day. I would think most daycares are closed on Holidays.

4th of July is a national holiday, so most, if not all preschools are closed on the 4th.  I know mine is!  I think it gives teachers a well-deserved day off and gives parents quality time to spend with their child(ren).  Enjoy the 4th!
