  2. The first one Untouchable posted is not even the tiniest bit vegan, seeing as how it has eggs and milk products in it.

    I would double-check the one on Peta's accidentally vegan list for yourself - they are not infallible.

    Untchob - The asker said chewy bars, not oatmeals bars, and those are not vegan anyway.

  4. No, all of the bars contain whey and other milk ingredients. Plus is highly processed and contains many solids.

  5. I stopped buying all of those Quaker bars because of all the sugar and fat that is in them!  The best thing you can do is make your own.  There is an EASY recipe here :http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Oatmeal-Pea...

    Substitute Brown Rice Syrup for the Corn Syrup and Earth Balance or other vegan "buttery" spread for the butter.  Use vegan Carob or Chocolate chips (Ghirardelli might still make some of theirs vegan).  I make these every weekend to pack in our lunches during the week.
