  1. Statistically speaking, every President descends from Charlemagne--as well as his stable boy--but then so does everyone else.  But proving this descent is another matter entirely.

Of course, that's roughly 40 generations back, give or take a generation.  Around 800 CE approximately 300 million people inhabited Planet Earth. A good third of those probably died too young to produce any descendants, or else their descendants died during the Black Death.   All along the way, the peasantry was more likely to die than the aristocracy.  Meanwhile, even in the most stratified of societies, kings sired illegitimate children, and the lines of younger sons became exceedingly common.

  2. You could go through the genealogy site to find out for sure,  but I think his family lineage stayed in Europe. His three sons could be traced as well to see if through marriages their offspring married into families near the coastal regions, which may have brought one of them to America, but from the research I did on his lineiage and offspring, they all seemed to remain in the northern and central regions of Europe.

  3. Try The Society of the Descendants of Charlemagne.
