Are any of the alpine Ipod Headunits fully compatible with the 6th gen Ipod Classic via USB?

I am not sure because I have a 6th gen Ipod Classic and I checked all the specs on alpines website for their Ipod Headunits and they say:

iPod Compatibility: USB Connection: 5th Generation iPod and1st Gen. iPod nano, Full Speed Connection: iPhone, 4th & 5th Gen. iPod Photo, iPod mini and 1st Gen. iPod nano

and yes I know about Aux. inputs I really want one of these for my ipod but if aux. input is the only option then it makes no sense to get it.

Plze tell me if you have tried it?

  2. YES MOST ALPINE CDA,IDA, CDE, IVA AND DVA  HEAD UNITS CURRENTLY ALLOW IPOD CLASSIC CONNECTION VIA ALPINE'S KCE-422i FULL SPEED CABLE.

    I HAVE MY 6TH GENERATION IPOD CLASSIC 80GB HOOKED UP TO MY ALPINE VIA THE ALPINE HIGH SPEED KCE-422i CABLE.

    THE AUX CABLE WILL NOT WORK WITH THE IPOD ONLY THE ALPINE KCE-422i CABLE
