  1. it would appear not. :(

that would take too much effort, and who knows, they might even lose a few pounds in the process.

and us americans love our unhealthy un-ecofriendly lives.

  2. ive never driven one-i just h8 driving cars,so i either walk or drive my pink scooter-ive walked to work over 20 years!for longer distances,we do take my husbands car,but he also walks/bikes or uses his scooter whenever practical.gr8 health benefits to all the walking, btw!weve been enjoying gr8 gas mileage with our scooters for 3 years.of course, its easy for us since we live about 2 miles from our jobs, this wouldnt work for someone in a rural/suburban area who has to commute to work.we live in a small city.

  3. i've seen a lot more people use the bus and carpool

  4. in the uk deisel is £1.32 pence per litre. thats roughly $2.64 per litre. you all have it much easier than us. earn more, buy for cheaper.

    panchod kusey

  5. The problem is not with driving cars, the problem is with driving vehicles that are obscenely fuel inefficient.

  6. Unfortunately, no. I live too far away from work to bike/walk

  7. Your question illustrates the problem.  You say "until fuel prices drop."  That means you have the mistaken notion that a short period of reduced demand would permanently reduce prices.

But of course, the minute we returned to our old driving habits, demand would rise again, and we'd be right back on the old vicious cycle.

Fuel prices will come down permanently when there are clean, plentiful, practical, inexpensive alternatives.  But of course if we have those, no one will care what gas costs!
