    - There are drop-bears in just about every tree

    - Drop-bears grab you by the back of the neck

    - There are pubs in every town. I MEAN EVERY TOWN!

    - We have interesting bogan poets like Dorothea McKellar and Banjo Patterson

    - The national sport is drinking

    - Cricket is the second national sport

    - Nicole Kidman is claimed as an Australian actress but she was actually born in Hawaii


  2. well what do you want to know. Australia is a beautiful country, great people, beaches and it's NOT all desert and the outback, but we do have great native scenery and a mixture of different cultures. great place to live. good health cover too ; )

    only country which is its own continent

    driest inhabitable land mass on earth

    have many animals which are found only in australia (kangaroo, koala, platypus, wombat etc)

    have deserts

    large cities

    home to the greatest football team on earth Geelong Cats lol

    id suggest that u google search Australia and find as much info that u want

    if you want to live in a big city with lots of people, go for melbourne or sydney!

    if you want to live in a smaller city, i live in adelaide and well.. its ok =]

  5. yes, there are plenty of australians here and many of us will be happy to tell you all about our country.

    it would be better to ask more specific questions. you can also check the answers to other questions and the answers to resolved questions.

    It's brilliant here in sunny New South Wales (although we've had a lot of rain in the past few days)!

    Born and bred in Australia is me!!! ;p

    It's not desert and outback like someone else said, that is true, but beautiful!

    Look for the poem Wide Brown Land (or My Country) and read that. That is the true Australia.

    We are like most other countries except for a few differences - oh, and we loooooove to abbrieviate words - chook is chicken, ooroo means goodbye and... (you will learn the 'slang' language if you come)

    so happy immigrating! (i really dont know why i said that last part, sorry :) )
