  1. The tires that are sold at places such as Walmart, Sam's, Sear's, etc etc (the list goes on and on) are manufactured at a totally different facility and they are made to the RETAILERS specifications and not to the tire brands specifications. Quite a difference....   if you notice, they don't have the same names as the actual brand name tires. They are not the same as Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal Goodyear etc etc that are sold at regular tire stores and are made at a totally different factory. Different ratings, tread depth, lesser quality in most cases.

    They are not the same tire. apples and oranges....


  2. There is only about 10 tire makers in the world all of the off brands are just lower levels of them, but still all have to be dot approved, if a tire is $40 dollars of course it is not as good as $150 tire.
