are apple downloads free?

is this free? im guessing its safe, do u have it? is it worth getting?

Some are free and some r not.

The download you gave is free, but it's only a demo.  iTunes, Quicktime, and Safari are free as well, but most other non-demo things from Apple are not free.

Apple has some downloads which are freeware (free and legal) then some are demo's. And then some you have to pay for, (example the microsoft for mac stuff)

That link in particular is a demo, it's free. Apple is completely safe as it is a company. I mean if some things are glitchy then that's just experimental software for you. I don't have that particular thing, but I have got plenty of stuff from the site.

Some Apple downloads are free. This is a demo, so it's free, but there are limitations on its use--either time or in terms of what all you can do.

I haven't used this download, but I haven't had any problems with Apple.com downloads before.

Edit: Mike is part right--most Apple "programs" for download are not free. However, demos usually are, as are smaller downloads, like widgets, which are small programs that run in the background (like a weather widget that tells you the weather). You can get widgets that do almost anything.
