If they did it, why are they allowed to continue doing it?

  1. Only those who vote to fund things that shouldn't be funded with the federal budget, which is all of them.

  2. When Nancy Pelosi elects to have the House go on vacation for a month (on the taxpayer's dime, no less) without resolving even a SINGLE hot button issue like energy, I'd say they're responsible.

As to why they continue doing it... something about less than half of the populous even being registered as part of the electorate, and something about only around eight percent of them actually getting off their butts to do anything.

  3. They did it and are allowed to continue to do it because they are re-elected time and time again by an uninformed and apathetic electorate.

  4. We keep sending back into office to do it again.  That is one of the problems with the two party system, and the fact that often stuff is passed that they don't even read.

  5. The legislative branch shares responsibility with the executive branch. One proposes the budget, one passes it, and then it is signed into law.

  6. Yes, they are all responsible.  They are allowed to do it because we keep electing the same old crooks and shysters every time.  It is not their fault.  It is OURS.
