Are arte povera and land art related?

I know that arte povera and the land art / earthworks movements happened at around the same time. Did one of these movements influence the other? How are they related to eachother?

From what i have read, i think the arte povera exhibitions of the Italian artists spread the ideas of this type of art. But did they influence land art?
