  1. Good catch Sandman - but I'll go one step further. The 1930 Yankees had 4 Hall of Fame pitchers. Red Ruffing, Herb Pennock, Lefty Gomez and Waite Hoyt.

Now we wait to see if someone can find five.

  2. The following staffs had 4 HOF pitchers

    1912 A's - Pennock, Bender, Coveleski, Plank

1930 Yankees - Pennock, Ruffing, Gomez, Hoyt

1933-34 Cardinals - Dean, Grimes, Vance, Haines

1949 Indians - Feller, Wynn, Paige, Lemon

1954 Indians - Feller, Wynn, Newhauser, Lemon

From 1949 to 1956 (8 years) the Indians had Feller, Wynn, and Lemon

From 1993 to 1999 (7 years) the Braves had Smoltz, Glavine, and Maddux

  3. Who says that Maddux will be going to the HOF as a Brave?

  4. Let's not forget Koufax, Drysdale, and Sutton on the Dodgers in 1966.  And, Herb Pennock, Waite Hoyt, and Babe Ruth on the Red Sox in 1919.

  5. The Braves rotation in the nineties was great.

  6. 1928 Yankees

    Herb Pennock

    Waite Hoyt

    Stan Coevelski

  7. The 2007-08 Padres have had Maddux, Hoffman, and Peavy (with David Wells in 2007 as well).

Maddux and HOFfman are sure things. Peavy is going in the right direction. Wells, hm, I don't think he's Hall-class but stranger selections have been made. Anyway, buncha good pitchers who may in time each have a plaque.

1965 Giants -- Marichal, Perry, Spahn.

  8. They were really good, but why'd you post this twice?
