Are babies more or less active while preparing for the big day?

just wondering because im 36 weeks and her kicks are more painful than usual, and have been for the past few days...

yes I think they are, they are positioning the head in the birth canal and they are moving more and more,kicking and fidgeting

Your baby is pretty big in there. You shouldn't be too shocked over those power drives to your sides or ribs. Baby's just letting you know that it's still growing stronger. It may, however, so down a bit soon because it's probably running out of room fast. Either way, though, are totally normal. You'll feel the baby move all the way to labor. Good luck and congrats!!

Its because there is less space!! They have a sort of guidelines about how many times you should feel your baby move each day. My baby was 10 days overdue and everytime he moved was rather sore :(

in my experience babies tend to slow down ready for the big day my youngest was always lazy but got worse as the big day dawned hope this helps you x

Im 38 weeks and my baby has been super active but she is breech and trying to turn which she has . Its pretty painful I agree .
