well in this day and age convenience is tops and great and tasty baked beans are available right off the shelf in a can...the best out there in my opinion are bushes baked beans....they taste so good to me that i don't even go to the trouble of making real baked beans any longer....i usually buy them and add a few strips of bacon on top and bake for about 30-40 mins...hince modern day homemade baked beans....lol :)

but, back in the day yes baked beans use to be baked...

yes they already backed you just reaheat them almost like hot dogs their already cooked but regular beans are like ham burger you need to cook them

they are cooked,  so by definition you could say they are baked

Of course they are baked.. if you do it by scratch you boil the beans first so they are soft then add all the other ingredients and bake about an hour in the oven.
