Are baseball jerseys worth buying?

Question

I really want to buy a Big Papi from the Bos. Red Sox jersey, but for those who have baseball jerseys, are they worth the money?

I don't like buying jerseys that have a number on and a name on it and I'll tell you why.

Who knows if your player gets traded to another team, that's why I usually don't like it.

I have two Dodger Jerseys and one of them is one them is like this

See this one just has "Dodgers" on it but no player name

The other is a Kirk Gibson Jersey and we know he's not going to get traded since he doesn't even play anymore lol.

If you think that you want it then it is worth it, but if you're looking for someone to tell you to save money, then save money.

I think it is it shows your love for your team or Player, yes they are expensive but so worth it it

if u have the money yes, but for people like me who i gotta earn my cash :(... i have to settle for player t shirts, however i will get a jersey every once in a while as a gift.

If you love the player and you can face the fact that you'll own the shirt when he leaves the team then go for it. I will treasure my Manny jersey forever.  I had it from '04 til now, so if you're a Sox fan you will know what I mean

Real fans don't even question this.  If they have money to invest in their favorite team then I think is real cool to own one.  I for one have one of each MLB team, although I only wear the Dodgers jersey.  I just purchased a Manny Ramirez jersey, I also own a Sandy Koufax and Jackie Robinson jersey, too.  I think they are worth buying them.

Depends on which player it is and if it's autographed or not. My opinion is that jerseys are worth buying because they are expression emotions for that certain jersey but some people judge you for what jersey your wearing.

I think they are...my closet is filled with jerseys...I think I am up to about 7 Red Sox jerseys now...6 of which are authentic...I like collecting jerseys though...that is my thing...so I say if you want an Ortiz jersey than go out and get one.
