My friend told me they are but it's my 1st time playing for a baseball team, so people who know about this, is it hard? And how do you make the team? And what do you do at try-outs?

By the way this is for my freshmen team.

Thank you.

  1. My tryouts were pretty easy.  We only had 11 people try out so everybody made it.

Edit: Who's the A$$hole who's giving all my answers thumbs down.  My last 10 answers all have at least one thumbs down, many of them for no reason.  Send me a message and tell me what your problem is.

  2. it depends on your high school

  3. not really but maybe hard for you because you never played on a baseball team

  4. if you suck at baseball it will be hard and embarrassing. if you are an average player (have the basic skills down) you'll be fine. you make the team by making a good impression on the coaches with your skills and hustle. mostly you just do some infield ground balls and things like that. quite easy. especially if its freshmen team. varsity is a little more challenging.

  5. Try your hardest i always do that and i start and like the other guys said depends on ur school

  6. exactly, it depends on the school, division, how many guys come out, the coaches background, the coaches mood that day... etc...  I would say, hit the batting cages 4 or 5 times per week and run... ALOT... to get in shape, also do some callesthetics and learn to take a ball to the chest and keep it in front of you.  if you can do that, you'll be fine.

  7. You're up against a bunch of guys who have been playing since they were six. You're going to get cut and it will be embarrassing so I'd suggest avoiding it altogether unless you don't care about getting cut.

    Sorry, you asked.

  8. They're not really that hard. You just mostly play baseball. If you have conditioning drills make sure you go hard. You won't get cut for being a bit slow, but you will get cut if you don't work hard.

The rest is just baseball. In batting practice just hit the ball. In defensive practice, feild the ball and make good throws.
