This question is aimed at those living in England, I just wondered if ordinary push bikes are allowed on roads like the A164. If not, then is there any other way of biking to the Humber Bridge (Yorkshire).

  1. Yes. The resulting mangled bikes and bikers make an excellent substrate for filling potholes.

  2. Bicycles are allowed on all roads except motorways. However, you will have to judge for yourself if it is actually safe to do so. On a busy road like an A road, you should try and cycle on the pavement if you can, just watch out for pedestrians!
