  1. No.  All games (carom, russian billiards, pocket billiards or pool, etc) have standards which the balls must conform to, regardless of the table size.

However, on coin-operated pool tables, often found in bars in the US (7 ft long), the cue ball may be larger or heavier so the ball return can separate it out.

  2. billars balls were origionally made of ivory.. and then the elephant ivory became hard to get. then they started using ceramics.. and hard plastics... so the weight of a old ball made from ivory will allways be more than modern balls and will be more accurate on a rebound shot.. ok gilermo..

  3. No.  Que balls on coin tables may have a different weight, or size, or some sort of magnet to separate it from the numbered balls for returns.

Pockets also tend to be the same size so on smaller tables, like 3x6 or 3.5x7 they look much bigger than regulation 4.5x9 tables.

  4. no, theyre all the same

  5. No!

  6. The only difference in the size of balls is if you are playing snooker which is a much larger table and smaller balls.  Otherwise regular 8 and 9 ball are the same size balls no matter if it is a 9 foot table or a 7 foot table.

  7. No
