I have a plastic binder I no longer need, and I'm not sure if I have to recycle it or throw it away.....

Also, are purses recyclable or are those supposed to be thrown away??

THANKS!

  1. Reuse them all! Mend and pretty up the purses. Put contact paper on the binders and use them to make fun photo albums or notebooks for next year.

  2. No The have a plastic/vinal cover over card board. They can't be recycled. It costs more to have someone tear them apart just to sort out the cover from the carboerd.

  3. Another re-cycling problem.

I am all for it, and do as much as is sensible, but in your case of an old ring-binder, some is plastic, some is metal etc.

For example, what to do with a defunct light-bulb?

It is glass, it is copper, it is tungsten, it is plastic.

So what do they want me to do ?

I choose to seperate re-cyclable  stuff in a green wheelie, and general household waste in the black one. But, my son in a neighbouring county, only 3 miles away has four different containers for seperation of things, which all just get bunged into the same collection truck.

Where is the sense in that ? Or indeed the motivation to help ?

    Bob

  4. If you think that both items can be reused as is I would donate them to a school they could give it to a child in need & play dress up with the purses or maybe goodwill .

  5. they are because at the end of my science class my teacher asked us all to recycle are plastic binders if we didn't need them

  6. No, the best way to get rid of them is to burn them

  7. sure it's recyclable!

Go to yahoo groups - FREECYCLE and find your area and post it for someone who needs it.

    WAHLAH!
