  1. After my son was born my doctor prescribed me some birth control that she said was completely safe and has no side effects with breast feeding. I wish I could remember the name, but I am sure if you asked your doctor she could tell you :] She said it was only progesterone and that's why it had no effect.

  2. They should be. Talk to your doctor, they tell you to go back on birth control after 6 weeks.

  3. You have to go on a low dose, but yes, they are safe.  Just let your doctor know you are breastfeeding.

  4. You need to go on a 'mini-pill' which is different from the normal pill, it gives you a different batch of hormones so it doesn't interfere with your breastfeeding.

You should speak to your doctor about which method is best for you and how they might affect your body  :-)
