  1. Some are some aren't.

  2. No. Colour has nothing to do with size.

  3. Why do you say that? I mean it really depends on the breed and the family history of the cat. The colour really shouldn't make a difference. Some are larger and some a smaller that's just the way it is.

  4. most cats are mixed breed, and there size depends on what they are mixed with. My black cat pearl is dainty as can be and is very small like her mother but her dad, my black cat mike, if very large and powerfully built and other then the small thing she is an exact copy of him. unless you buy a specific breed from a breeder a cat can vary in almost any color, size, shape imaginable and having a black coat makes no difference to their size. and by the way, that statement in one of the answers about most black cats being wild is nonsense. It may have been true 60 or 70 years ago maybe but that superstition was disbanded with most of society a LONG time ago, black cats are abandoned no more often then any other.

also people seem to think black cats are some how related more closely with black panthers then other cats are because they keep mentioning them. I don't understand this notion, its bull. for starters black panthers aren't even solid black, their spots are easy to see when you look at their coats, their base coats are actually more brown then black, and they are not very common, I think its something like one black cub is born in every 40 litters(or something like that), and most don't reach adulthood. and secondly how do they think this relation came about? our cats today were breed from small wild cats long long ago and domesticated. the panther never came into the domestic cat equation.

  5. It depends on the kind of breeds. Black is only the color.

  6. Black are just like all other cats, some are big and some are small.  It depends on food intake and how the big parents are.

  7. Most black cats I have seen and know are big. But all cats differ in sizes. It also depends on what breed the cat is.

  8. no,not really, most black cats are (feral) wild because people don't want them (bad luck) house cats are much bigger

  9. color has nothing to do with it in this case. a cat's size is determined by breed (genetics) and a good healthy start in life, it's own life and it's mom's life. good food and good vet care make for healthy, strong cats and if the breed allows, that generally translates to larger cats. I have 13 cats, 7 of which are black. 4 are a monstrous size, 2 are medium or "normal" cat sized, and 1 is small.

  10. Some are. Haha, don't know what else to tell you. ;]

  11. No! My 7 are no smaller or larger (in some cases) than the others.

  12. nope. i have a black cat and its bigger than my 3 other cats
