To say a fish is aggressive or not is useless-- compared to other fish in the Cichlid family, Rams are extremely peaceful; compared to Guppies, Rams are little demons.  They will go after fish that get in their way, especially if breeding, but will become very stressed if kept with something like a Convict Cichlid.
